HEYYYY! I’m finally back, tapping on my OWN keyboard on my OWN desktop looking at my OWN monitor! The feeling is nothing short of ecstasy =D
Okay, back to my usual writing style, lost it for awhile back there. First things first, I have got to let everybody know, Pos Malaysia (At least the parcel section) sucks big time! My desktop did arrive but it was late and damaged… Looking at the packing, I packed it in the original casing box with all the styrofoam in tact, it seemed to have arrived perfectly. The box was completely undamaged but, looking closer, the tape on the top had already been slashed open. God, they didn’t even try to seal it back… Taking out my baby, I immediately knew something wasn’t right as the front of the casing was smashed in and the styrofoam was broken. The bloody idiots actually tried to yank my processor fan out from the hole in the front of my casing without unscrewing it first, absolute genius… Well, they did manage to bend it so badly that I had to replace it. Thank God the damage caused by their ‘little’ activity was limited to the casing and cooler. They must have spooked themselves out when they bent the cooler… Ended up spending RM460 (Parts) + RM20 (Service) restoring my baby. There goes my Steelseries Siberia v2…
Screw that, now I’m looking at my new Cooler Master Centurion 690 and Thermaltake MaxOrb Ex and I can say that I’m very happy with my ‘improved’ baby. For those of you out there wondering whether I tried taking action on Pos Malaysia, well, I wanted to but I heard from a reliable source that it would do me very little good. The maximum amount they can reimburse me with is only a measly RM50… Cheap bastards eh? So, rather than waste my time and breath filling in forms and shouting at the receptionists who probably won’t even know what’s going on, I decided to spend/waste my time writing this!
Sorry about not fulfilling the promise of the picture only post a few days ago but my internet at that time was just, urmm, shit… Anyone out there (in Malaysia) thinking of changing from Streamyx to any wireless broadband provider, ie. Plan D, Plan C, Plan W, etc., please please DON’T! You will regret it somewhere down the line… Their ‘Unlimited’ plans are bullshit and I repeat, bull-shit… They will allow you to surf ‘Unlimited’-ly, yes, but they also monitor your bandwidth. This means that after a certain amount of surfing (10 GB for plan D and 5 GB for plan C I think), your surfing speed will drop becoming slower than dial-up (You do remember that connecting noise, right?). Also, after awhile, wireless broadband users would qualify to wear a badge that says “Disconnect Much?”. Anyways, just got my Streamyx back and feel that I should shout a big ‘SORRY’ to Telekom for complaining all those years!
After reading all the stuff I just wrote, I can see that this post is basically about flaming certain parties but you can look at it a different way and say that I was just trying to warn you guys about certain ‘services’ here in Malaysia, right?
On a brighter note, I’m going to Miri in approximately 14 days, 10 Hours, 14 Minutes and 10 Seconds but who’s counting right? I’m coming *** ***!
Also, Jimmy’s sister just got married last week, on the 2nd, so a big ‘Congratulations!’ goes out to her and the lucky groom. I also think it’s worth mentioning that one of my bros drank so much that he was entertaining/dancing with most of the aunties during the dinner and ended up sleeping on some random person’s balcony. You the man la bro!
Well, that’s about all that’s been going on lately, as the other days just passed by uneventfully. So, till next time, play hard!
PS: Screw you Pos Malaysia! Oh yeah, the picture post should be up by the day after tomorrow…
